2019(new body style)-Current Silverado

3rd Brake Light Wire Connection (CHMSL) Hot wire location
Location #1: Under the driver’s dash, to the left side. The wire is blue in color, with white stripe.
Connect the red (+) wire on the brake light to this wire. Connect to clear (-) wire to vehicle ground anywhere on the frame or body of the truck.

2016-2019(2019 old body style) Silverado

3rd Brake Light Wire Connection (CHMSL) Hot wire location
Location #1: In main harness on driver’s side frame rail. Wire is purple in color with grey stripe.
Connect the red (+) wire on the brake light to this wire. Connect to clear (-) wire to vehicle ground anywhere on the frame or body of the truck.

2014-2015 Silverado

3rd Brake Light Wire Connection (CHMSL) Hot wire location
Location #1: Wire junction box under the bed of the truck, on the Driver’s side. Wire is purple in color with grey stripe.
NOTE: There is more than one wire with this color. The correct wire will be at the top and close to the center of the truck.
Connect the red (+) wire on the brake light to this wire. Connect to clear (-) wire to vehicle ground anywhere on the frame or body of the truck.

1999-2006 Silverado

3rd Brake Light Wire Connection (CHMSL) Hot wire location
Location #1: Center rear of truck, directly under truck bed. Wire is light blue in color.
Location #2: Above the brake pedal. The wire is white in color, with purple stripe.
Connect the red (+) wire on the brake light to this wire. Connect to clear (-) wire to vehicle ground anywhere on the frame or body of the truck.
1988-1998 Silverado

3rd Brake Light Wire Connection (CHMSL) Hot wire location
Location #1: Behind driver’s side kick panel. Wire is white in color.
Connect the red (+) wire on the brake light to this wire. Connect to clear (-) wire to vehicle ground anywhere on the frame or body of the truck.
